Radivojevic and Sierra reach the final

The Vanda Pharmaceuticals Mallorca Women’s Championships presented by ecotrans Group (WTA 125) witnessed an eventful Saturday filled with wind, rain, top-level tennis, and an international atmosphere.

Heavy morning showers delayed the start of play until 2:30 p.m., but despite the challenging weather conditions, many tennis fans gathered at the Mallorca Country Club to enjoy an exciting day of competition.

In the first singles semifinal, Serbia’s Lola Radivojevic defeated compatriot Teodora Kostovic 7–6, 6–3 to secure her place in Sunday’s final. The 19-year-old displayed remarkable composure and maturity, winning the decisive points in a tight first-set tiebreak before dominating the second set with greater consistency from the baseline.

In the second semifinal, top seed Solana Sierra (ARG) overcame Andrea Lázaro García (ESP) 6-2, 7-5. The Spaniard rallied in the second set and even led 5-4, but Sierra held firm to close out the match and confirm her status as the tournament favourite.
